Frequently Asked Questions

We currently distribute to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, iTunes and Kobo.

We’ve created the handy Ebook Royalty Calculator on this page to give you an idea of how much money you’ll make when distributing through ISBN Services.

Here are the current base royalty rates for each store:

Amazon: 70% if book priced between 2.99 and 9.99. 35% otherwise*

Nook: 65% if book is priced 2.99 and above. 40% otherwise

iTunes: 70%

Kobo: 70%

Google Play: does not publish their rates publicly, but averages around 55%

* Amazon has several exceptions to their base rates. For instance, if someone makes a purchase on the American Amazon.com website from a country which doesn’t have its own official Amazon store, the Royalty is always 35% regardless of price. Amazon also charges a small delivery fee based on file size for books in the 70% program.

** Amazon, iTunes, Kobo and Google Play all use currency conversion for books purchases outside of the United States. This means there will be a slight difference in royalty from the base rates for books purchased outside of the US.

All authors will be give a complimentary account at our sales tracking site www.ebooksalestracker.com.

We only charge $25/yr and 10% of the net receipts from each ebook store–the lowest cost of any major competitor.

We make monthly royalty payments when an account balance reaches $20.

We make all payments via Paypal, so a Paypal account is required to participate.

The $25 fee covers unlimited re-uploads of files, price changes and metadata changes for up to 5 ebooks. If you want to distribute more than 10 ebooks, you’ll need to purchase another subscription.

Absolutely. Our distribution form allows you to choose only the stores you want to work with.

Most of the time the process takes between 12 hours to 2 days from the time we receive your submission.

Currently we do not distribute any sexually explicit or books with strong violent themes. Each ebook store has its own content policy which may also prevent a book from being accepted for sale.

Your copyright remains yours forever. While distributing an ebook with us, we will have a non-exclusive right to distribute your book to the stores you select. That non-exclusive right can be terminated at any time by you for any reason.
