This book of Professor Rubén Hernández Valle analyzes the different procedures which form part of the modern Constitutional Procedure Law, based in the Costa Rican Code, which was enacted in October 1989 and constitutes a milestone and a pioneer in the regulation of this branch of Law in Latin America.
The book analyzes the general principles of the Constitutional Procedure Law, as well as the writ of habeas corpus, the writ of amparo in its two modalities: against public authorities as well as against private persons; the different procedural institutes regarding the judicial review of legislation, such as the constitutional action, the legislative constitutional consult as well as the judicial constitutional consult and the veto placed by constitutional reasons, the controversies among the fundamental constitutional organs and the internal conventional control of the laws.
