About This Book
This book by Professor Allan R. Brewer-Carías, “Crónica de una captura anunciada. La extracción de Nicolás Maduro,” deals exclusively with the entire political process that took place in the United States during all the months of 2025, and which preceded the capture and extraction from Venezuela of Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026, by Law Enforcement and Military agents of the United States, translating him to the City of New York, to face trial for indictments initiated in 2020.
The book was written during all those months that preceded that event, as the actions were announced and events were unfolding, for which the author relied on the public information disseminated in the international media to which he had access in New York; citing in each case the sources of the information, as can be seen from the almost 400 footnotes in the work.
On the subsequent events and situations that have begun to occur in the United States and in Venezuela, particularly after the mentioned capture, and, above all, on what they imply for the future, apart from the brief references made at the end of the text that has a date of completion dated January 7, without a doubt, there will be time to study them in the future.
The book, therefore, as indicated by the author, is now published with the aim of preserving the historical memory of the entire process that was outlined in the United States and that led to the capture of Nicolás Maduro, and with it, the beginning of a political change that is painted as inevitable in Venezuela.
