About This Book
This book is a Recollection of studies written by Allan R. Brewer-Carías, referred to the Territory of Venezuela, its formation since the Colonial times through the Spanish Provinces that were integrated in the General Captaincy of Venezuela created in 1777, which had their border to the East in the Essequibo River, with the United Netherlands commercial settlements or plantations established in the mouth of the Essequibo, the Demerara and the Berbice Rivers to the East of the Essequibo River, which were recognized by Spain in the Treaty of Münster of 1648, and which was the only territory that the United Netherlands ceded to Great Britain in 1814 by the Treaty of London in 1814; and the Controversy with Guyana regarding the Guayana Essequiba.
