This book by Professor Emilio J. Urbina Mendoza compiles reflections on the implementation and debates surrounding asset forfeiture. These meditations were expressed during the 2023-2024 period in his column in the newspaper El Nacional. This work not only compiles journalistic works on this peculiar form of constitutional asset correction but also organizes, into three parts, all this material that has been difficult to access in Venezuela. Government restrictions on certain newspaper pages and news portals prevent the reader from reading two years as a columnist for one of the oldest newspapers in the country. The texts range from details of the general theory of asset forfeiture to the regulatory peculiarities of European non-conviction-based forfeitures, highlighting the new modalities approved in Directive 1260/2024 of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe.
