This book od Professor of Emilio J. Urbina seeks to make up for the deficiencies in the methodological, not legal, bibliography that has been presented in postgraduate courses called "methodology". This work is the compendium of 20 years as a postgraduate professor in legal research methods seminars. The manual aims to make the management of sources and research skills more understandable for third and fourth level university students. It seeks, in turn, the epistemological reality -often forgotten- about the dogmatic essence of Law. The text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter exposes the details about the discovery, choice, and thoroughness of the research topic, standing out, the delicate art of specifying the novel approaches of legal-thematic axes considered "classic". The second chapter focuses on the study of research sources and their methodological approach in Law, introducing us to the most outstanding global techniques for the analysis of the sources that will feed the rational arguments of the final work or thesis. The third chapter systematically explains the theoretical design and the main legal research methods throughout the history of Law.
