This book is the reproduction of the original book published in 1975, in which professor Allan R, Brewer-Carías studied the political change that occurred in Venezuela, particularly during the process of construction of the Democratic State after the democratic revolution of 1958; period during which a democratic and social rule of law state was built, and functioned up to the end of last century, when its principles and foundations began to be demolished under the Chávez authoritarian experiment. It is a contribution to the knowledge of the political and social history of Venezuela during the second half of last century and of the achievements of the democratic process developed during those years.
