This book by Professor Allan R. Brewer-Carías, on Administrative Law in the Constitution, collects several of his studies on the relationship between the Constitution and administrative law beginning with his work “Constitutional Bases of Administrative Law” (1982) that forms the first part of the book, written from 1982 and based on the Constitution of 1961, on the occasion of the preparation of the Course on Administrative Law that he taught for several years in the Specialization Course in Administrative Law of the Central University of Venezuela since its foundation. In addition to this study, this book includes the following other works on the subject, written after the entry into force of the Venezuela 1999 Constitution: the study on “The constitutionalization of administrative law in the Constitution of 1999” (2001), which is included in the second part; the study on The General Principles of Public Law in the 1999 Constitution (2004), which is included in Part Three; the study on “Legal Persons in the 1999 Constitution” (2004), which makes up Part Four; the study on “Executive acts in the 1999 Constitution and their judicial control” (2001) forming Part Fifth; the study on “The constitutional regulation of State contracts as contracts of public interest” (2006...) that forms the Sixth part; and the study on “Public Services in the Constitution of 1999” (2003) published in Part Seven of the book.
