A New Kind of Mayor

This book is a collection of my memoirs centering around the day I was appointed to the city council. I detail how I was selected over 50 competitors to fill the seat, what I did to prepare and what it was like. I chronicle my journey from the mean streets of New York to the mayor’s seat in Santa Clarita. This book is also a love story. It is the story of 47 years of marriage to my beautiful wife, Virginia. Our adventures extended far beyond those of most marriages and I share many of them here. Recently, my Virginia reminded me that I promised her the world when we got married and I delivered. I didn’t deliver, Sweetheart. We delivered everything together. Ultimately, I decided to write this book to inspire others to follow their dreams. Take adventurous journeys. Live great lives. Success is not what society dictates. Success is what you define it as. There was a time when I had more material things than I could ever use. But it wasn’t until I found service to others that I truly became successful in my life. It is my sincere hope that my story inspires you and gives you the courage to be the one to break the mold in your world.
