About This Book
Conscious Decision is an original Lent course by Harry Gwinnett that is based on the motion picture Only the Brave, that tells the harrowing story of how on the 30th June 2013, 19 wildland firefighters paid the ultimate price whilst fighting a fire on the edge of their hometown in Arizona.
The course is based on five weekly sessions: -
A Conscious decision
Process of change
Putting others first
Fighting fire with fire
Faith and works
The course includes bible references, questions and suggested clips from the film with specific timings.
At the end of the course there are five daily reflections that take us through the days of Holy Week.
Harry Gwinnett is a church leader in the north of England with a particular interest in the relationship between faith and the world in which we live today.
This is the second in a series of Lent studies based on film and in this case, real life experiences.
