ABOUT THE AGAPE BOOK The author was encouraged to do research for this book after realizing that “love” had many meanings. Even many who claim to be believers in God, by their behavior, show that they do not understand the real meaning of Agape love. Few people in the world understand this concept. When a person hears the Biblical expression, “God is love,” his understanding will vary according to his understanding of the meaning of “love.” If he thinks the word means “charity” or “physical love,” he will not understand. If, as many people practice openly today, Agape means sexual activity, the understanding is almost the complete opposite of Agape love. Other than personal, individual study, who else would find this study useful? Married couples, courting couples, Bible class teachers and students, and Christian marriage counselors will all grow spiritually from this study. Spiritual growth will come, not from the author's writing, but from the Biblical texts by which we may come to know the heart of God and Jesus.
