About This Book
Zack has hallucinations. This means that sometimes Zack hears, sees and feels things everyone else does not. Sometimes, Zack hears and sees his imaginary friends at school. With the help of his teacher, Zack is able to explain his sickness to his friends at school to help them understand. Step by step, Zach learns how to manage his hallucinations so that they happen less often and so that they are less convincing.
This book is intended to: describe Psychosis, normalize Psychosis by comparing it to a physical illness such as: the flu, stress the importance of medication and counselling, suggest ways of explaining Psychosis to family members and friends, and suggest various kid-friendly coping strategies and self-care activities.
