About This Book
The issue addressed in the essay collected in this new book by EPINOMIS, Western Culture Library, on “The Judicialization of Politics or the Lie as the Physiology of Power,” is perhaps the one that best expresses the deconstructive crisis of democracy and the rule of law under the new authoritisms or dictatorships of the 21st century. Its spirit and purpose, as a result of the IV Seminar on Global Governance and Growth and Freedom held in 2024 by the e-Promesa Virtual Network, based at Miami Dade College and its Institute for the Freedom of the Americas, and sponsored in its execution by the Democratic Initiative of Spain and the Americas (IDEA Group), the Mezerhane Chair on Democracy, Rule of Law, and Human Rights, and the Atlantic Institute of Government, is to promote an open dialogue on this issue with thinkers and opinion leaders on Western values, regarding freedom and democracy, both as an institution and as a right.
