About This Book

Abstract We test the hypothesis that, after normalizing every San Francisco Giants player (from the 1883 New York Gothams through the 2025 San Francisco Giants) to 2025 training, medicine, nutrition, equipment, rules, and sports-business support, a single Giants “super team” can be assembled that optimizes modern winning—not just by peak talent, but by clubhouse chemistry, role flexibility, and strategy compliance. We (i) assemble priors from franchise history; (ii) encode uncertainty and multi-objective constraints (value + chemistry + usage) into IBM Quantum workloads—Quantum Amplitude Estimation (QAE) for probabilistic evaluation, QAOA for roster/usage optimization, and quantum kernels for small-N interaction structure—and (iii) run 1,000,000,000 scenario draws through a hybrid Runtime V2 pipeline. We report the top three players at every position, top five starters, top five bench/utility, top five relievers, top five pinch hitters/DHs, and top five managers, each with a brief rationale and 2025-adjusted projections (scaled for shared time). Finally, we simulate the 2025 season 100 million times and compare the Giants Super Team to the other NL West clubs (Dodgers, Padres, Diamondbacks, Rockies), integrating reliability/“zone” lessons from earlier Quantapalooza research.
