This book edited by the Public Law Institut of the Law Faculty of the Central University of Venezuela, is a recollection of 28 academic contributions, written by professors and former students in Homage of Professor Raúl Arrieta Cuevas D.P.h Oxon, who since 1979 was Professor at the Central University of Venezuela and at the Andrés Bello Catholic University of Caracas.
In them, their authors analyze the vices and practices that occur in the application of Venezuelan domestic and international law and the social and political impact on international relations when a Nation has a Constitution that guarantees human rights, but after 26 years, the in Venezuela has been to break any normative scheme that controls compliance and submission of the Public Power; using democracy as a banner and leaving citizens without uniform rules of conduct, and subject to the will of the exercise of political power alone.
The interesting thing about the works grouped in this book is the legal and political visions of their authors, both in the context of national and international issues. They are captivating, not only to understand the danger of losing the fundamental value of freedom, democracy and justice, but also to warn about the immense effort to recover their foundations.
