LETTERS A Mother's Dream A Daughter's Secret

Between the years of 1956 and 1967 my mother wrote poignant, heartfelt letters to The Holt Adoption Agency. First she wrote to apply for adoption. After the first baby came, she continued to write, then came a second child, she continued to write. Later she adopted a third child. It was mother's dream to "Always have a baby in the house." The trouble was, all she got was me, until three children came into her life. She died in 1968. The agency kept her letters all these years and then sent them to the family. I typed them, placed them in this book LETTERS, and added a few of my own. Could it be that a farm woman sitting at her kitchen table pouring her heart out on paper would impact the world?
