About This Book
Thank you, reader, for wanting to read something about what a firefighter does and a lifestyle of what it is like to be a firefighter. Being a firefighter is not easy and at times demanding, but the satisfaction of having done some service to your community and a fellow person in need is satisfying and rewarding.
Being at a fire station doing daily tasks when suddenly tones over the speaker system ring out. The adrenaline hits and you are ready for whatever you are now going to be called out to do. Would it be driving a fire engine with lights and sirens blaring as you drive down the road/street of your local community? Would it be on the front end of a fire hose with flames and smoke in front of you? Or driving an ambulance to a medical emergency and transporting the patient to the hospital. This is my story of being a firefighter/ Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
Hopefully, you as the reader will get a glimpse of the lifestyle of being a firefighter/EMT and the challenges we all had during our calls in our helping the local community citizens.
