About This Book
The quest of the demons to reunite in order to employ their combined powers to subjugate the worlds continues with unabated fervor. They are opposed by a motley group that calls itself the Guardians, led by a medieval witch out of her own time. They have twice managed to avert the disaster as chronicled by two books of this series (Out of the Hidden Land and The Osmium Mirror), but now the demons are driven by desperation due to running out of time. The battle rages in venues from New Orleans cemeteries, subterranean horror chambers and abandoned plantation houses to giant offshore drilling rigs and a Mexican mountain stronghold. The future of the worlds hangs in a fragile balance threatened by forces of ultimate evil.
