About This Book
This book of Nelson Ramírez Torres analyzes the ongoing trial before the International Court of Justice between initiated by Guiana against Venezuela, by requesting the Court to declare the validity of the Arbitral Award of 1899 that resolved the Border Dispute between Venezuela and the former British Guiana. In the book, the author emphasizes that for Venezuela it is not enough to passively allege the nullity of the Paris Arbitral Award of 1899 and that the Guayana Essequiba is a historical part of its territory, but it must counterclaims for the nullities of the Arbitral Award, of the Washington Arbitration Treaty of 1897, and of the wrongfully-called Guyana "Agreement of 1905", and file the vindication claim to declare the sovereignty over the Essequibo Territory.
