About This Book
This book on Administrative Law of professor Allan R. Brewer-Carías, was originally written in 2005, and was published in two Volumes in Bogotá by the Universidad Externado de Colombia. The volume that is now published by the Catholic University of Táchira is, therefore, the reprint, in 2024, of those two volumes, now in one, with the addition of the manuscripts that in 2005 remained unpublished and that made up Volume III and IV of the initial projected work.
In this volume, therefore, the author, I have preserved the original texts of 2005, without updates, and thus show, now, almost twenty years later, what administrative law was then in in force in Venezuela, whose essential bases came from the time of the democratic regime (1958-1999), before the systematic destruction of the rule of law and administrative law itself began. This happened precisely from 2006 onwards. The book, therefore, is the living testimony of an era and of the foundations of a large part of the general principles of administrative law that will have to be reconstructed when the country manages to free itself from authoritarianism.
