About This Book
This book by the historian María Soledad Hernández Bencid studies all the information derived from the general review she made of the press, both official and opposition, as well as magazines and loose sheets, between 1846 and 1859, carried out in the Newspaper Library of the National Library and in the Newspaper Library of the National Academy of History, on the period of government in Venezuela between 1847 and 1857, of the brothers José Tadeo1 and José Gregorio Monagas. These had participated in the process of the war of independence (1813-1821), characterizing their government by the personalist, nepotistic and regionalist stamp product of the incorporation, in their respective administrations, of individuals from the province.
