About This Book
Wendell Worm doesn’t think very highly of himself. Sensing no value in who he is or what he does, Wendell suffers from low self-esteem. All the members of his community seem to contribute to society and the well-being of others. Beatrice Bee distributes pollen among flowers, Adrian Ant moves seeds underground, and Paula Pillbug munches scraps into mulch. But Wendell sees himself as just a worm, and “all” a worm does is burrow underground every day and every night. Of course, that’s the point. Spencer Spider helps Wendell see that his underground activity is essential to the wellbeing of his community and the planet.
