About This Book
This book analyses the importance of the Inter American Democratic Charter adopted by the Organization of American States in 2001, in particular by the fact that it declares as a political rights of the Latin American people the right to representative democracy and the obligations of the States to maintain it. The book also study and analyses how the Charter has being violated during the past twenty years by all the governments of Venezuela, beginning with the initial Government of Hugo Chávez Frías, who expressed his opposition when the Charter was approved, to include in it the recognition of the right to "representative" democracy.
