This book edited by Professor 'José Ignacio Hernández, compiles the essential documents and legal studies regarding the 2022 reform of the Democratic Statute, approved by the Venezuelan National Assembly to ratify the continuity of the interim president, as a necessary condition to preserve the international recognition granted by foreign governments, particularly in the U.S. and the U.K. In that sense, the book includes the different drafts approved by the National Assembly and the legal studies that criticized, from a Constitutional Law perspective, the initial decision of the National Assembly to assume the competencies of the Presidency in a sort of parliamentary government. In that sense, the book includes the initial draft approved by the National Assembly and the final draft that abandoned the solution of the parliamentary government to preserve the constitutional status of the interim president.
