About This Book
Tom Cole is a jaded, former parole officer who wants nothing more than to be left alone until a neighbor asks for his help locating her missing teenaged daughter, April Lawson. As Tom searches for April, he discovers that not only does the runaway have good reasons for escaping from her family and staying gone, but he also finds that he himself is looking for something more than a runaway. His search takes him from the streets of Los Angeles to the sea, where he engages in a fight with the elements as well as human enemies that are just as dangerous.
