About This Book
After the Soviet Union was dissolved and the Russian Federation was formed, the former Soviet territory was comprised of independent republics, autonomous republics, regions and districts, all of which either were independent or claimed independence until they signed the Russian Federation Treaty and became members of the Russian Federation. This process took place over the period from 1992 until 1995 when the Sakha-Yakutia Republic finally signed the Russian Federation Treaty. Additionally, there were issues in many of the newly freed states and in the areas in rebellion within those states that were sponsored by the Russian Federation that also issued these spurious issues. This is Volume 1 of a set of 5 volumes covering those issues.
