'206 Bones' is an anthology of poems and selected artwork by British writer Nina Bhadreshwar based on a chronicle of grief and an intense relationship with California. As a young woman, poetry and graffiti art formed the basis of her magazine, The Real State, formed in 1992 which catalyzed an adventure of grace that continues. 'The ghettos and injustices of Cali were my calling then and still are. I have tried to grow out of it but, the older I get, the deeper the roots grow. A newborn baby has 242 bones; a fully grown adult has 206. 206 Bones is about coming of age and about all the breaks and scars which made this body. Bones are the last true documents left on this planet.
